Competition for Northwich Cultural Centre

The proposed building aimed to tie together disparate parts of the town, whilst also linking through to the river.

It felt important to develop a solution that respected the existing townscape, both in massing and scale. The proposed halls plus ancillary accommodation are located under a unifying canopy.

Construction reflects the site’s history of boat sheds and salt stores, with a timber structure and cladding infill panels.
