Class Q Approval for Conversion of Timber Stable

Stanton Andrews Architects

Approval for a Class Q application to convert an old stable block into a contemporary home.

We are delighted for our clients who have been received approval for a Class Q planning applicationĀ  to convert a stable block into a stunning, contemporary home.

In order to fit into the site contextually the design has followed the form and appearance of existing agricultural buildings nearby and occupies the same footprint as the stable block.

The design gives the house an airy and open feel with full height glazing and roof windows that allow light into the into the heart of the building. The materials used will also reflect the local vernacular with the use of stone, timber and natural slate.

Inside there is an open plan large kitchen, dining and living area with wrap around window, as well as a private study and 4 bedrooms.
