Stanton Andrews Architects are delighted to report that Planning Approval was granted for this new house in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Building is planned to commence in the New Year.
The property, which is also within a Conservation Area and in close proximity to a listed building, brought about many challenges for the design team.
The tired and unremarkable dwelling currently occupying the site has been replaced with a contemporary house suitable for life in the 21st Century.
The generous family accommodation, with lounge, dining and kitchen, all have large areas of floor to ceiling glazing, providing views over a large garden and the landscape beyond. With four en-suite bedrooms and a four-car garage there will be no fight for a parking space or bathroom in this house.
The use of traditional details and materials allows the design to respond sensitively and sympathetically to the surrounding buildings and historic setting.
