Loom Loft Opens

Stanton Andrews Architects has worked with Loom Loft Ltd to launch a brand-new furniture and interiors retail concept store in the heart of the Ribble Valley.

As you approach, you are met by a fully glazed elevation that allows you to see the in-store goods.  An over-sailing roof offers protection from the power of the summer sun, allows winter solar gain and protection from the occasional downpour, a not uncommon occurrence in the north west.

Interior Design

The large airy interior has a deliberately industrial feel with the steel portal frame, including fixings and bracing, underside of the concrete metal deck slab, cabling and ducting and roof soffits all exposed. There is level access to the ground floor and a lift to the mezzanine floor where the ‘The Loft Bistro’, allows customers and visitors alike to enjoy a pleasant meal.

Environmental

The building has strong eco credentials, a sustainable drainage system, providing rain water attenuation has been installed under the permeable block paving to the car park, the glazing is all double glazed, heating is provided by air source heat pumps.  A cycle store and electric charging points have been installed to the car parking area.

Why not pop down and have a look, it’s situated near Clitheroe in the Barrow Brook Business Village on the A59, the main route through the Ribble Valley.
