Planning Permission for Grade II Listed Building

Stanton Andrews Architects render

Planning Permission Granted for Contemporary Extension to Grade II Listed Cottage.

Stanton Andrews Architects have recently secured planning permission for the remodelling and extension of a grade 2 listed historic building near the West Pennine Moor, an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Previous planning applications by other consultants had been resisted and refused, however Stanton Andrews Architects worked closely with local authority’s planning department and heritage consultant to develop a proposal that was both respectful and sympathetic to the historic building whilst also providing the contemporary living accommodation requested by their clients.

Stanton Andrews Architects believe that a good client/architect relationship coupled with excellent communication is at the heart of good design.  Below are some recent comments received from their clients:

“Creative, friendly and approachable at all stages. Always responded promptly and kept us abreast of the progress of the planning application.  We appreciated the honest, pragmatic advice throughout and felt in very good hands when navigating the planning application process.

Quickly grasped the design we were going for and came up with a number of initial designs which were all totally different but lovely in their own ways. One of those was the design we ultimately went with, and we are really happy with it. Neil is a font of knowledge when it comes to all things building related which was a significant help throughout the design process”.
