This project is now progressing in earnest after being stalled by the pandemic. Located in the Ribble Valley, the property has a series of steep gables, in response to the local vernacular. These are now largely formed and will be faced in locally sourced natural stone. Dressed stone surrounds for the window and door openings are being cut and prepared by skilled local craftsmen in readiness for installation.

The exposed structure is beginning to frame the impressive views across the valley and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that will be available from the full height glazed openings to the living and bedroom accommodation. The roof will be finished in traditional Burlington slate with leadwork detailing. (use the slider to view Construction View and Design View).
When complete, the house will be a marriage of the vernacular and cutting edge design and detailing – ‘arts and crafts with a contemporary twist” as noted by one observer. The accommodation will include a formal lounge, family room, dining room, kitchen with pantry, gymnasium and spa, wine cellar, master bedroom plus a further 4 bedrooms each with their own en-suite.
